BLUE SKY AT NIGHT

Camping at Brigs Farm

Story by Rich Lisney October 21st, 2014

I was asked to create a website for a local farmer called Mew who owns a smallholding with an occasional camping field set inland a mile or two from the Dorset coast.

When I arrived to take a look around Brigs Farm the air was fresh and birds calling to each other, I instantly fell for the place. It’s rare to see a small farm developed so sensitively to its surroundings, the rustic waney edge long drops and wagon were a great touch

I love this time of year when blossoms fill the landscape with colour and the promise of summer

The afternoon was so enjoyable that I managed to persuade Mew to let me pitch up in the empty camping field.

I set up my tent but as soon as the sun dipped below the horizon the temperature dropped rapidly, giving me an excuse to set up my trusty backpacking woodburner.

Being so peaceful and with the accommodation so toasty warm it didn’t take long before my head hit the pillow and I was off to sleep, no need to count sheep here…

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

The following morning I was woken by a friendly dog who it turns out is the offspring of the now famous Brig
